A male lion, drawn straight on, holding your eye the way he would in the last light before dark. Drawn in white charcoal on black Fabriano paper, built up out of the dark by hand, which is why the mane catches light and the eyes hold you across a room. This is the piece that opened the collection.

Each print is made to order as an archival giclee, on 100% cotton rag paper or canvas, with pigment inks rated to last generations. Three sizes, supplied unframed.

Limited edition of 25, hand-numbered and signed by Gareth Putter. Once it sells out it will never be reprinted.
